Our CO₂ footprint
CO₂ balance sheet and Scope 1 to 3: our climate impact at a glance
CO₂ balancing at allsafe: data-based and transparent
We drew up our first carbon footprint back in 2012 based on company data from 2010. Since 2020, we have been recording and analyzing our CO₂ emissions annually based on current data. In 2021, we disclosed our carbon footprint for the first time in the official carbon footprint report. This is based on the Greenhouse Gas Protocol, the globally recognized standard for greenhouse gas accounting. To calculate our CO₂ emissions, we use precise conversion factors - for example from suppliers, energy providers or vehicle data. If we do not have these values, we use the ProBas database of the Federal Environment Agency. Since 2025, the sustainability report and the data from the CO₂ report have been combined in the sustainability report.
Scope 1-3: Classification of our emissions
Our CO₂ balance sheet follows Scope 3 reporting, which differentiates between emissions caused directly and indirectly.
Scope 1
Includes all direct emissions that come from the company's own sources. This includes our natural gas-powered heating systems and our company car fleet.
Scope 2
Scope 3
