Instruments and processes for greater sustainability

Sustainability is not an add-on, but an integral part of our strategic and operational activities. We rely on well thought-out instruments and clear processes to ensure that environmental compatibility and corporate responsibility are just as integrated into our business model as quality and economic stability.

Sustainability as a management principle - the balanced scorecard

We use the balanced scorecard (BSC) to manage our sustainability strategy transparently and based on key figures. It is updated monthly, publicly displayed at allsafe and considered on an equal footing with the key financial figures. Sustainability is thus firmly integrated into our corporate management - from the top management level to the day-to-day work of each individual.

CO₂ footprint as the key to reducing emissions

Our carbon footprint is a key tool for assessing our climate impact. Since 2021, we have published our annual CO₂ report, in which we make our emissions transparent and highlight potential savings. Our environmental program is based on the three scopes of the carbon footprint:

Scope 1: Reduction of direct and energy-related emissions. Scope 2: Reduction of direct and energy-related emissions. Scope 3: Minimization of emissions along the entire value chain. We have broken down Scope 3 beyond the subdivision recommended by the Greenhouse Gas Protocol into a separate analysis at company and product level.

One of our key objectives is to reduce Scope 3 emissions by extending the life cycle of our products. With our all:change repair service, we enable reuse instead of new purchases and are thus actively committed to the circular economy. By repairing items that have already been produced, they remain in circulation and do not have to be manufactured again. CSRD - Taking transparency and responsibility further

With the new Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), we are expanding our reporting and making sustainability comparable. The CSRD obliges companies to report on environmental, social and governance aspects in a more comprehensive and standardized manner. We are consciously taking this step in order to clearly communicate our sustainability performance and be transparent for our business partners. With these tools and processes, we ensure that sustainability does not just remain a goal - but creates effectiveness at allsafe.
